  • How economical is your machine?

Pound for pound, and inch for inch, our studies show that the ProEDGE® cutting tool is by far one of the leading profit centers in your finishing department. When you consider that you receive an exceptionally well constructed, industrial strength cutting tool that will cut over a million times, as well as many of the start up supplies you will need, we believe that your investment in a ProEDGE® cutting tool will be one of the most rewarding investments that you will ever make. Let's do the math . . . the average retail price to your customer is $2.50 per linear foot. In other words, edging a 24" x 36" image you will charge your customer $25.00 (for 10 linear feet). Your cost is $ .37 per foot, or $3.70 for a 24" x 36". When you multiply the 490 linear feet of plastic (that you receive when ordering a "full tube" of 3/16" plastic edging) times $2.50 per linear foot, the result is a whopping $1225.00 in revenue. With your material and labor cost at about $200, you will net about $1,000 profit per tube. As you can see, your initial investment is almost entirely recouped before you call your ProEDGE® distributor for your first reorder of plastic edging.

  • I know that ProEDGE® plastic edging comes in 98" length sticks, but can I get a custom length?

We cut off our plastic edging at 8'2" (98") because that is the maximum length that we can ship to you via UPS or FEDX. ProEDGE® plastic edging may be ordered in any desired length, subject to a 35 tube (15,000 feet) minimum order, and will require ground trucking for shipping.

  • How many colors of plastic edging do you inventory?

In most popular sizes we normally inventory 8 standard colors: Pewter, Hi-Polish Black, Matte Black, Gold, Red, Blue, Chrome and White. In less popular sizes we inventory Pewter, Hi-Polish Black, Matte Black and White. If your color needs are different than this, you have two options:

    1. Our edging is paint receptive, so you may spraypaint any color you wish onto the plastic edging (be sure to remove the "premask" film which helps protect the plastic until it arrives at it’s final destination).
    2. You may order a custom color on orders that exceed 35 tubes (15,000 feet).

  • Why will I like my ProEDGE® cutting tool?

Like many tools that you use everyday in your finishing department, you will soon wonder how you ever got along without a ProEDGE® cutting tool and the "lifesaving" plastic edging! First and foremost, it allows you to make your customers happy and generate additional incremental income with a very small investment. When your finishing department has the capability of edging a 2'x3' image in about 2 minutes, using $3.70 worth of material, and charging the customer $25.00 (and making him happy), it doesn't take very many jobs to add up. Who knows, it could make the difference on where you go on vacation this year: Branson or Hawaii? Another reason why we think you will like ProEDGE® is that it will "hide" many mistakes and flaws that routinely occur in your finishing department.

    • When's the last time you accidentally "knicked" the corner or edge of a wide format mounted image, and had the customer react negatively.
    • When was the last time you cut your fomeboard image slightly "out of square" and have the customer reject the order or want a heavy discount?
    • When was the last time your laminator’s heat setting was incorrect, which resulted in the de-lamination around the outside corners or edge?
    • When was the last time you used “gator hooks” on your mounted image to hang from the wall and become frustrated when you couldn’t "square it up", or worse yet had it fall to the ground?
    • When was the last time you attempted to securely suspend a mounted image from the ceiling, and get mad because you either couldn’t find a system that would hang the image perfectly plumb, or it fell to the ground.
    • When was the last time that you produced a sign on 1/2" plywood or MDO® board for outside use, and spent more time continuously priming, painting, and repainting the outside edge in an effort to "seal the edge".

If you have every had one or more of these unfortunate circumstances happen to you, read on . . . By installing ProEDGE® plastic edging, we can completely hide those bent corners or edges. We can even frame an image that is cut out of square, and "square it up" with our edging. Laminate lift problems? No problem with ProEDGE®, we can install ProEDGE® edging, then acetone weld it to the substrate, and completely eliminate any further delamination. Tired of "gouging" your fomeboard® mounted images with hooks and cleats? Try our special metal wall mounting brackets, which securely "snap" into place. By connecting the two horizontally placed brackets with standard picture frame wire you can "square up" the image on the wall effortlessly. Our special "ceiling" mounting brackets work in the same fashion, but allow the image hang perfectly plumb from any overhead platform. For outside signs, see how fast we can turn ProEDGE® plastic edging into a weatherproof "raincap" by applying a generous bead of silicone caulking to the edge of your plywood, then embed a 1/2” ProEDGE® plastic edge into the wet silicone. Throw away your paintbrushes and high labor cost!

Shouldn't you start distinguishing yourself from your competition . . . before they get ProEDGE®?
